Star Wars Starkiller
My third rendition of Starkiller over the years, I feel this is my most accurate so far...I am very happy with how he turned out here! I used many, many, various bits and pieces from belts, webgear, and other fodder to make this piece. Again, I am really enjoying making SW character using modern GI Joe parts which I feel are superior over basic SW figures. With this figure, I made sure to utilize base component to make sure his height and proportions were very close and he stands just a tad taller over the recent Luke Skywalker figure from the Vintage series.

Star Wars Darth Bane full Orbalisk Armor
I have posted a few times before that Darth Bane is my absolute favorite Sith Lord. I have become increasingly dis-enchanted with his figure though, and set out to make one I really wanted. I saw some pics of a dude who makes costumes, and when I saw his fully armored Darth Bane costume I knew that was the direction I wanted to go with the figure. I used GI Joe figures for the base, and began building and this figure is a combination of scuplting, and using many different bits. I made sure that he retained his full articultion while making him, and I am really happy with how he turned out!!
Star Wars Embo
Like many others, when I saw Embo on screen I instantly liked the character. He is just too cool!! When I finally managed to aquire the figure I was really happy with the job Hasbro did on him, until I stood him up with other figures and realized how short he was. So, I fixed that and you can see in the last pic I have a comparison shot to show his new found height. He still retains all the articulation of the original figure, and I finished the piece by giving him some neater looking knives and a few washes to bring out all the detail of the mold.

GI Joe Shadow Tracker
I really liked the idea of a new Cobra character, but I didn't really get Shadow Tracker. I really didn't care for all the neon at all, and most of his weaponry was just weird to me. I decided to make him more native looking to the jungle or maybe African plains. I went with a Darth Nihilus head and got rid of the Hockey mask with Tarantula on top. I decided to go without the vest at all, and instead gave him a random wrap. I did want to keep the spear with him and to accent the look went with a more traditional bow and arrow pack thanks to a Hawkeye figure which I cut tiny slits in and then strung with fishing line . The machete I used from SDS matches the spear in design pretty well too I think. I was going to try and do something with the hole in his left leg, but after some thought went back and filled/resculpted the area over to match his pants.

DC Comics Armored Batman
I wanted to make a different version of Batman and after viewing the DC Universe Online video game opeing sequence, I knew what direction I wanted to go in with the character. I feel the secret to a great Batman figure lies all with the cape, and I wanted it to be special. I commissioned a fellow co-worker of mine to hand make the cape using soft and supple material that flows very nicely but is way more opaque than the soft goods capes you get on store bought figures. She put a seam in the cape which allows for a simple length of craft wire to be inserted so that you can actually pose the cape in all sorts of ways and even get the classic "bat wings" look.
